MEANING OF WELFARE:
The Health, Happiness, Well-being, Comfort, Security and Fortunes of a Person or Group.
Growing up, I always remember loving God and seeking Jesus. The Lord gave me many revelations and has been speaking to me since I was ten years old. I’ll never forget one day while I was asleep, Jesus Christ walked into my room. He took me with him on what seemed like a tour of Heaven and Hell, showing me around, and He told me many different things. When I woke up from the dream, I remembered everything He said to me, and I knew that God was going to use me for His glory. I was fully ready for that call, and I realized at that moment that I was born to preach the Good News of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I was a leader at Christ Apple Mission in Uromi (my hometown), where I was raised and brought up by Bishop Ehidiamen. When my family and I relocated to Lagos, Nigeria, I joined Christ Embassy Church. There I became a Deaconess and was trained by the teachings of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
One night, Jesus appeared to me, calling me by name. I saw His face and He looked so somber. When I looked in His eyes I could see the pain and the seriousness of what He wanted to tell me. I’d never seen Him that way before, and it really troubled me because I couldn’t figure out what was wrong; but Jesus knew what I was asking in my heart and He answered me saying, “Vera, when I was on this earth, everyone that came into contact with Me never remained the same. But what I’m seeing today is different.” I could hear how solemn His voice was as he asked me, “What’s the difference between those that know Me and those that don’t know Me yet if those that know Me are still suffering? That’s why I’m so sad, that’s why I look like this.” And He told me, “Vera, I AM WELFARE. When people meet with Me, their life shouldn’t remain the same because I AM WELFARE. That’s why I came to you, and I trust that you can do this, to take this message out to the world and let them know that I AM WELFARE.” The next morning it was all I could think about. I felt such a strong urge to pray, I couldn’t even go to my business! Even my husband was asking me if I was alright because that night he felt a shift in the room, and he could tell that something had taken place. This all happened while I was still in Lagos, Nigeria. Jesus kept reminding me again and again, telling me that I needed to go and start the Ministry.
Eventually, I moved to America, and I began pastoring a Christ Embassy Church in Union, New Jersey. One day I was ministering on the pulpit and Jesus showed up and stood next to me on the stage, saying again that I needed to begin the Ministry He sent me to do immediately. I couldn’t delay any longer, and right then I decided to leave Christ Embassy and began the Voice of Jesus Welfare Ministry – just as God instructed me to do. When I sit down to do live streams and I see how many are watching, I know it’s all because of the Lord. I never worry about what to minister or how it will go because every step of the way I’m guided by the Holy Spirit. I know what He has called me to do, and I know I’m walking in His purpose for me. God has been so faithful.
